Most hitters get a pile of tips like “stay back” and “get your hands through” and have no idea which one matters. PureHits looks at your actual swing and picks one. Feedback compounds. Vague tips don’t.

How it works

From phone video to your next rep.

  1. Record or import

Film one swing from the side, or pick a clip you already have. Cage, backyard, or game day all work.

  2. We read the swing

PureHits tracks your body positions frame by frame and scores six parts of your swing, from load to finish.

  3. Work on one thing

You get your biggest opportunity, why it matters, and drills to fix it. Film again and see how your score changes.

Filming takes 15 seconds

No sensors. No lab. Just your phone.

There’s nothing to clip to your bat. Set up one clean side-on shot and PureHits handles the rest.

  • Phone uprightFilm vertically, at about waist height.
  • Head to feet in frameStand side-on so the whole body is visible.
  • One swing, under 15 secondsFilm at regular speed with your normal camera.

What we measure

Six parts of every swing.

Each one gets its own score, so you can see what’s working and what’s costing you.

Posture & Balance

Does your head stay steady and your weight stay centered from load to contact?

Lower Half

Stride, front-side block, and how well your legs create and hold power.

Sequencing

Hips, then shoulders, then hands. Whether energy moves up the chain in order.

Bat Path

How the barrel gets to the ball, and how long it stays on plane through the zone.

Contact Position

Where your body and barrel are at the moment of impact. That moment is what counts.

Finish

Balance and extension after contact. A finish that holds usually means a swing that held together.

Your swing report

Simple enough to use at the next practice.

No wall of charts. Every report answers the same few questions in plain language.

Swing score

74
Out of 100, scored across six categories
Biggest opportunity
Your head drifts toward the pitcher. It slides forward before your front foot lands, so you lose balance through contact.
Why it matters
When your head moves, your eyes move, and the pitch looks faster than it is. It also bleeds power out of your back side.
Work on this
Stride & Stick2 sets of 5 swings. Stride, land, swing, then hold your finish for two full seconds before you move. Cue: “Finish under control.”
Progress
Film again after a few sessions. PureHits compares it to your last swing so you can see what changed.

How we built it

Honest feedback beats impressive numbers.

One focus at a time

You get one priority, not a list of ten fixes. Hitters improve faster working on one thing at a time.

Built for your level

Your plan is set by your level, your goals, and the side you hit from. A 12-year-old and a college hitter get different feedback.

No made-up measurements

If the video can’t show something clearly, PureHits says so instead of guessing at a number.

Private by default

Some checks run entirely on your iPhone, so the video never leaves it. You don’t need an account to start.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How does PureHits analyze a baseball swing?

You record or import one side-on video of a single swing. PureHits tracks body positions frame by frame, scores six mechanical categories, and picks the single biggest opportunity to work on, along with drills matched to what the video shows.

What kind of video do I need?

One swing at regular speed, filmed from the side at about waist height with the phone upright and the hitter visible head to feet. Under 15 seconds is plenty.

Do I need a coach, sensors, or special equipment?

No. PureHits works from a normal iPhone video. There is nothing to attach to the bat and no extra hardware to buy.

Do I need an account?

No. You can analyze your first swing without creating an account. You can sign in with Apple or Google later if you want to save your results and track progress across devices.

Who is PureHits for?

Players working on their own swing from youth and high school through college and adult leagues, plus the parents and coaches who film them. It works for right-handed and left-handed hitters.

Is PureHits available on Android?

PureHits is launching on iPhone first. Android is planned for later.
